TT Races

The Isle of Man is of course famous for the TT Races, which have been run here for many years.

Here is a quick tour of the TT course, with eight photos of well known riders at various parts of the course. The Isle of Man TT (Tourist Trophy) course is unique - run on everyday roads, the circuit is a little over 37-miles long. The first TT was run in 1905 and organized by the RAC and initially for cars. The first motorcycle event was in 1907, with the winner averaging 40 mph - compared with more than 120 mph today.
