On Saturday and Sunday 22nd and 23rd November, Hospice Shops, for the fifth year running, participated in the 24th annual Christmas Fair, organised and run by Hospice Care, Fundraising Department. Hospice shops had a fantastic Christmas Fair, Saturday was extremely busy and we sold much more stock than usual.

Hospice Shops, with stalls in front of the stage, had our full range of Christmas Cards, Bric-a-Brac and Christmas decorations in the main Royal Hall. Onchan Shop with their lovely stall with Christmas presents for everyone, were also in the Royal Hall, and our Nearly New Boutique, run by the Peel Shop, was to be found in the Joe Loss Bar.

Saturday sales were so good customers nearly cleared us out of stock so Sunday morning saw us at the warehouse by 8am boxing up more items to take down to the Villa Marina to sell.

Sunday had the usual steady flow of people looking for Christmas presents, enjoying a coffee and mince pie, and the day finished at 4pm with the superb raffle.

Patient Care funds were swelled by a little over £4,000 from the Christmas Fair weekend. A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support Hospice and the Shops.

As usual many of our staff and volunteers gave a few hours of their weekend to come and help man the stalls, so another very big thank you to you all.
