Share the Care Ltd., has a Board of Directors with an appointed Manager responsible to the Board for all operational matters together with the administration of the Company and the maintenance of the properties owned by Share the Care Ltd.

Share the Care Ltd
Share the Care is a relatively large commercial enterprise with an annual turnover exceeding £750,000 and yielding a net profit to Hospice Care, during the last two financial years, of over £400,000. Therefore Share the Care Ltd., has to run as any other efficient business with informed and progressive management. The Directors all bring a variety of experience and expertise contributing to Share the Care's success, past present and future. The Directors offer their services on an honorary basis and are not remunerated.
Share the Care Chairman, Terry Groves, has a long association with Hospice Care. He was a member of Management (now Governors) from 1984 and Appeals Chairman 1985-86. Terry Groves remained on the Management Committee, becoming Deputy Chairman, retiring in the mid 1990s, at which time he became a Director of Share the Care. He was MHK for Ramsey 1991-96 during which time he served as Member for the Health Services (1991-94) and Government minister 1994-96 (DLGE). He is currently a director of a number of IOM companies.

The Board of Directors meets once a quarter, together with Mrs. Julie Jones, to receive her Manager's report on a variety of matters affecting the policy and running of our Shops and Salerooms, to review financial matters and to discuss plans for the future, and Mrs. Siobhan Ellison.
Mrs. Julie Jones is in regular contact with Chairman Terry Groves and Mrs. Nadene Crowther, over a variety of subjects where assistance and or advice is needed and, where necessary the Board are kept informed by e-mail. Other Directors become involved in a variety of subjects where their skills are appropriate.
Peter Vickers
Chairman 2002-2006
It was with great sadness we had to announce that Peter Vickers, Hospice Administrator from 1986 to 1999, and Hospice Shops Chairman of Share the Care Limited from 2002 until earlier this year, died on Thursday 28th August.
Many visitors to this website would have been familiar with the face of Peter Vickers, if not at Barclays Bank in the Precinct, Onchan or as founder member of Hospice and General Manager from 1985 to 1999. During this time Peter was involved in all administrative matters and with the various Committees. The Hospice Shops gradually evolved and following the death of William Scholl CBE, who was Chairman from the inception of Share the Care, Peter Vickers took the Chair having been a director of the company from the earliest days. Peter not only brought his wise counsel and experience to the business but his special attribute of being prepared to listen. Earlier in 2006 he retired as a Director of Share the Care and many heartfelt thanks were expressed to Peter for his truly loyal support. He will be much missed inside and outside the Hospice family. Mr Terry Groves, a longstanding Director of the Company and Hospice supporter with tremendous business experience followed in the Chair and continues to provide guidance and support.
